Leopards rarely have the chance to prey on wolves in their natural state.

  • Natural leopards rarely have the chance to prey on wolves, even for the weaker wolves like Indian wolves. But Canis lupus familiaris, a man-made subspecies of wolves, is much more vulnerable to leopards, and dog meat has even become one of the major food sources of leopards in parts of India.

    Figure 8-9 is a failed Hunt - the leopard is too small, the dog is too big, and there is a group of wise men beside it to take pictures, and eventually the leopard abandons the difficult prey.[doge]
